As we head into 2025...

we are proud to be able to drive our business forward with some new additions. A new IVECO transit van with the ability to tow our new removals trailer. Essential updates for our increasing trade in rural removals with tight access for our larger fleet vehicles. So as ever, Flash is your flexible friend! As a family business, we want to do the best for you and your family. We aim to take all the challenges and turn them into positives this year. 2025 we will be 41 years old as a business. With the economic climate presenting challenges for small businesses like ours, we are refining our operation, looking for opportunities, and maximising efficiency where we can. We are harnessing our key strengths, knowledge, personal service, family business ethics, quality, and flexibility—to ensure we deliver the best moves for you! We pride ourselves on our good business practice, honesty, hard work, and we hope that 2025 will be the year this really pays off! We love what we do, and we’ve had 41 years’ worth of practice, so our experience is really your friend, and we are willing to undertake anything! 

As a family business, we have key strengths that we combine to provide the best service for the customer. 

Alastair started removals and international antiques transport at 16 years old. His strengths are so varied; if he doesn’t know how to move it, it’s probably not moving! He has managed the vehicle fleet and logistics for over 30 years and has even had to perform emergency mechanics on some of the trucks en route over the years. He is motivated by continuing the family brand and gets a real buzz from getting great feedback. He believes in leading by example and is completely hands-on. Alastair likes people and enjoys the variety and freedom that this job can bring. His international forays are particularly enjoyed! 

Whilst I, (Emma) pride myself on adapting to every customer’s requirements to create a carefully planned, bespoke package for their move. It may seem that we are just moving a household; they must be pretty similar, but every customer is different and should be treated with deference and respect. We find our lives so fulfilling and interesting. No two days are the same, and we flex and react constantly to adapt to the changing forces of the market.

We can react quickly and turn around a job pretty instantly. My prime motivation is being well thought of. Reputation is so important to us because our business is our family, and we hope this comes across from ours to yours!
